Lately on my iphone
Foo Fighters | “Wasting Light”
My take: Love the tones, the realness, the rawness of it. How a rock album should sound. One of the best I’ve heard in a long time.

Mumford and Sons | “Sigh no More”
My take: I’ve heard that these guys are from HTB in London. I don’t know if it’s true but, there’s a lot of depth in the lyrics with constant insights into the Gospel that go along very well with their passionate bluegrass style.

Adelle| “21″
My Take: I love this new diva that does not fit the stereotype. I feel she’s an honest song writer and… the girl’s got some serious pipes! Nuff said.

Fleet Foxes | “Helplessness Blues “
My take: They have some good moments through out the album but, I felt they were trying too hard to be vintage. Honestly, real vintage is better than trying to sound vintage. Having said that this is a good album to listen to when/if you’re just trying to chill.

Arcade Fire | “The Suburbs”
My take: Still processing the Grammy awards record of the year. I love the constant references the 80′s in terms of sounds as well as the critique on the American suburban culture.

Radio Head | “The King of Limbs”
My take: It’s a little weird but hey, it’s radio head.

Hillsong United | “Aftermath”
My take: Pretty good worship tunes, nothing huge but pleasant to listen. I’ve always found it interesting that the songs they write usually have a much better theology than what is commonly preached from their pulpits. It reminds me of the same dynamics between the Wesley brothers. The theology in the hymns Charles wrote are much better than what John used to teach and preach. Why does this happen? I don’t know.
